Nerys Pearce Visits Belmore

On Wednesday 26th June we were very lucky and privileged to have Nerys Pearce visit our school to leading a sponsored fitness circuit with all pupils, followed by a motivational assembly, and Q&A session. The aim of the event was to inspire the pupils to be more physically active, but just as importantly, encourage them to discover and pursue their passion in life.

Each class took part in a 5 to 7 minute fitness session which included:

Once every class had completed the fitness circuit Nerys led two assemblies, one for KS1 and one for KS where she gave an outstanding and inspiring talks about her career, lessons she had learnt and her resilience in the face of adversity. There was also opportunities for the children to ask questions.

It was a fabulous day and the whole school really enjoyed it taking part very enthusiastically and everyone showed lots of resilience when things got tough and showed great teamwork and support when cheering on other year groups

Well done Belmore and thank you Nerys and Nicola from sports for schools for such a fantastic event.
