Art & Design

At Belmore, our Art and Design curriculum aims to ignite curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child. We strive to provide a rich, diverse, and inclusive learning environment where students explore and develop their artistic skills through hands-on experiences with a variety of materials, techniques, and processes.

Our goal is to encourage students to express their individuality, develop critical thinking skills, and enhance their ability to communicate visually. We believe that Art and Design fosters imagination, resilience, and problem-solving, all while helping students to appreciate the world around them and the diverse cultures that inspire creativity.

Throughout their journey in Art and Design, students will be given opportunities to explore and experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture, textiles, digital art, and more, building a foundation of technical skill and artistic knowledge. By nurturing a love for art, we aim to inspire children to use their creative abilities across other areas of learning and life, fostering a lifelong appreciation of the arts.

Our intent is that every student, regardless of their starting point, will leave primary school with a sense of pride in their creative achievements and the confidence to continue developing their artistic talents.
